Today I want to share with you an exciting opportunity that the Lord has opened the door for me to take.
As you know, I am a missionary kid. My family and I serve in Québec, Canada. I love that God has called us to serve in full-time missions. One of my passions is learning about other missionary families and how they are serving God in their mission fields.
A few months ago, I was praying that God would give me an opportunity to go on a short-term missions trip. I did some research, got information on one trip that interested me, tried to figure out details, and kept praying. However, the plans that I began to make turned out to not be God's.
While we were visiting family in the states during the summer, my dad attended a pastor's fellowship. When he got back from the event, he told me that he had learned of two different missions trip opportunities that I might consider.
Since then, things have fallen into place in a way that only God could orchestrate. One of the pastors my dad met sent me the necessary information to join his church's missions trip. I filled out the application, bought the plane tickets, and felt God's peace about this step of faith.
I leave for Scotland on Wednesday.
This is a leap of faith for me. I will be going across the ocean for the first time, and I will not be with anyone that I know well, except the Lord, of course. Would you pray for me and the rest of the team: for protection, for peace, and most importantly that God would work through us to reach souls for Christ?
I'm excited to share with you all what God does throughout this trip. I want to encourage you to be available for Him to use you, and He will provide amazing opportunities for every one of us in His time.
